This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use TPT Real Estate as an agent, vendor, buyer, or investor, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using the Service you consent to the practices described here.

Information you provide directly

• Account details: name, email address, phone number, REINZ licence number (for agents), and profile photo.
• Property listings: addresses, descriptions, photos, pricing, and property attributes (bedrooms, bathrooms, land area).
• Buyer and investor enquiries: name, contact details, and buying criteria submitted through property enquiry forms.
• Vendor information: property owner details associated with listings.
• Application details: rental or purchase applications submitted through the platform.
• Communications: messages submitted through enquiry forms and support requests.

Information collected automatically

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.
• Device information: device type, operating system, and screen resolution.
• Usage data: search queries, listings viewed, and enquiry behaviour — used to improve the Service.
• Cookies: session cookies required for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To display property listings to buyers, tenants, and investors.
• To connect buyers and investors with agents and vendors.
• To process and manage enquiries and applications.
• To send transactional emails (enquiry confirmations, listing alerts).
• To send product updates and feature announcements (you can opt out).
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access.
• To respond to support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations, including real estate regulations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Sharing Enquiry Information

When you submit an enquiry on a property listing, your name and contact details are shared with the listing agent so they can respond to your enquiry. By submitting an enquiry, you consent to this sharing.

5. How We Share Your Information

• Service providers: Trusted third-party vendors including Supabase (database) and Vercel (hosting). These providers process data only on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information to comply with our legal obligations.
• Business transfers: If TPT Solutions Ltd is acquired or its assets transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in Australia and/or the United States, operated by our hosting providers. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and access controls.

If you suspect any unauthorised access to your account, please notify us immediately at support@tptsolutions.co.nz.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Property listing data and enquiry records may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

8. Your Rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Object to or restrict our processing of your information in certain circumstances.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (e.g. marketing emails).
